What have been the key issues for your production/ post production this week and decisions made.
This week Rianne submitted all of our planning (pre-production) work meaning we could start filming and making our graphics. In Mondays lesson Rianne and I started to make the graphics for our opening sequence. We used Da-Font to search different styles of font suitable for our British Social Realism film. Mostly in British Social Realism films the typography is very plain and simple text for the graphics and title we thought we should at least have a look into a text which could connote the themes in our film. We found a font which we both liked and started to use fireworks to edit the title graphic. We found that it was difficult to change the colour of the text in fireworks. We then made a decision on Tuesdays lesson that we would use Live type on the mac to create our graphics as it is very easy to use. It was a new program that we learnt to use, it was easy to get the hang of and had very similar format to fireworks so we were familliar using a program like this. We then continued making graphics for the remaining lessons. On Friday this week Rianne and I decided to start our filming we wanted to shoot our first shot. The first shot is very important as it is the shot which grabs the viewers attention and we wanted a tracking shot, however unfortunately we did not have access to a track so we tried to create one ourselves.
I think that creating this track made us able to get the shot we wanted and as we planned out, the traolly was slightyly shaking whilst tracking howveer we over came this problem and reshot untill we got the perfect shot.
