Production Log 11

This was the final week to complete the opening sequence and our editing had to be completed by Thursday the 18th of April. As we were sharing the Mac with another pair we had to compromise on the timings we both shared the Mac. Rianne and i spent lunches editing our work. We think it has come together very nicely as we also put in the credits. We edited the opening sequence in I movie and created the credits on Live type. We firstly imported all of our clips and had to watch all the clips to find the best clips which the camera reflected all the themes of a British Social Realism opening sequence. We then had to make sure the continuity of the opening sequence was correct and made sure this was the only editing that was used as BSR films do not include and CGI effects. The filming was done in a real life setting this also denotes the themes of a BSR film.

 During the middle of the week we found we had to change the music which played in the background of our opening sequence as it did not connote an opening sequence and did not correctly establish the mood and themes of the BSR opening sequence which we were trying to put across. Faiz Pokun composed a new sound track for our opening sequence. We did not need his permission again as Rianne and I were using music he made previously for our opening sequence but made sure that we included his name on our credits in order to credit him. This is the new track that we had composed for our opening sequence. I feel it creates tension and enigma and really grabs the attention of our audience due to the build up of it. We feel this music really is perfect for our opening sequence. 

We used three programs to complete the production of our opening sequence. Firstly created our graphics in Live Type we then edited our opening sequence in I movie and inserted the graphics in live type on top of our sequence this shows that we are able to use a viarty of new media technology to produce our opening seuqnce. Then lastly we inserted all of our graphics and our opening sequence into Final cut where out opening sequence came together. This is our full opening sequence. We have posted it on youtube to recive an audeince feedback, this is a way which we have used new media technology to promote our opening sequence to the general public as anyone is able to view our BSR opening sequence.
